🦆 AI and basketball love child?

BREAKING: Italy bans ChatGPT

Hey man,

I’ve run out of Duck jokes, but I hope they quacked you up.

Here’s today’s AI rundown…

  • Italy bans ChatGPT 🇮🇹 👋

  • AI predicts your next election vote 🟦 🟥

  • Dodge your next parking fine with AI? 🚗

  • Never miss another basketball shot again 🏀

Arrivederci, ChatGPT 🇮🇹 👋

ChatGPT Episode V: Privacy concerns strike back!

To catch you up on the tea: it’s pretty hot today 🍵

  • The Italian government has raised concerns over ChatGPT’s ever growing collection, processing, and use of personal data.

  • ChatGPT has also failed to check if the age of users’ is above 13, in line with the Italian law.

  • Hence, ChatGPT has been banned and OpenAI have 20 days to respond with the appropriate fixes. Otherwise they face penalties.

A fine worth more than my expired bread collection 🍞: OpenAI face a possible 20 million euro fine due to the breach of personal user data and subscriber payments to ChatGPT plus. Ouch 😥

Back to the drawing board 📝 : It seems we may need to go reconsider worldwide AI regulations, something that hasn’t really been tended to.

This lines up at a coincidental time with Elon Musk’s open letter about the halting of AI progression beyond the level of GPT-4 technology. Discussed in a previous issue of The Daily Quack.

Left? Right? AI knows. 🕴️👨‍💻

How the quack does this one even work?

Somehow, someway: A recent study from Brigham Young University has proved that AI can respond similarly to complex survey’s just like an election ballot. With a GPT-3 model that emulates complex human ideas, attitudes, and socio-cultural contexts to make a final vote. 🤖 🖊️

Diversity in voting: The AI system even created artificial personas to embody race, age and ideologies to generate different votes. Does this account for Ducks too? 🦆

“There was a high similarity between nuanced patterns in human and AI responses.”

Brigham University

So what does this mean, Quack? Well, this sort of technology paves the path for us to better predict responses from any type of person for any type of matter. Mind control??? 🧠

Goodbye parking fines, hello loading zones 🚗 🤑

Infinite parking glitch. A first for humans, an everyday for Ducks. 🦆

There’s a bit of a backstory: York student, Millie Houlton was given a parking fine after slightly crossing over a parking line when repositioning her car due to road works. ❌

Although not being in the wrong, she was still fined by the her local council officers. Caught up amongst a busy school schedule, she didn’t have time to challenge the decision. 😅

Old mate ChatGPT comes in again: Using a simple prompt in ChatGPT, Millie listed the key points to cover in a message, it was responded with the screenshot above. 👆️

“I put in all my details about where and when it happened, why it was wrong and my reference for the fine and it came back with this perfectly formed personalised response within minutes.”

What we think: Just park properly man, you can’t run away from every fine with a sweet tongue… Not yet at least 😈

You miss all the shots you don’t take 🏀

We’re Luka Doncic fans here at The Daily Quack, here’s him with a tech, not that type of tech though. 💻️

Maybe Luka will stop missing so many free throws… NoahLytics, an AI tool is designed to help players and teams improve their shooting efficiency by tracking all types of shots from all sections of the floor.

Jocks and nerds unite: 🤓 🏃‍♂️ The NoahLytics AI utilises statistical analysis of the 45/11 shooting theory that looks at the arc of basketball shots, providing appropriate feedback for players to improve their shooting form and rhythm. No linear graphs here.

Become the next Luka? 🇸🇮 The NoahLytics tool, has also expanded to help young players (including Ducks) on how to optimise their shooting form. More so, generating insightful analytics and graphics for sports broadcasts. One Duck, three stones?

Did you know? At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Toyota’s AI powered shooting machine, “CUE5” shot with perfect accuracy from any spot on the floor, even learning how to dribble recently. Can’t dunk like Ja Morant though… 🤣

Our meme pick of the day 🔥

What Karen?! At least ChatGPT replies instantly…
