Pre-schoolers prefer AI teaching 🤖 

Maybe a robot announcing nap-time is more enticing than a real teacher… 😴 

Researchers at Concordia University recently tested to see if children deem social affiliation important for learning. That is, comparing the affiliation between humans and robots.

They found that: Young children above the age of five prefer the competence of AI knowledge over the familiarity of their human teachers. 🫣 

It’s about personality guys… It was also noted that student preferences did not change whether the AI looked more robot-like or humanoid. What if an AI-duck taught a class of pre-schoolers? 🦆 

Being right is better than being human: That’s what the kids think. But if this is what the next generation of young leaders prefer, what limits can we push with AI teaching? 🧑‍🎓

Wear it like you talk it: Researchers at the University of Cincinnati have trained a computer and wearable technology to measure yours and a partner’s heartbeat, respiration and nerve responses to determine if you’re synchronised. And if you are, it’s time for a pond date with expired bread. 😍 

Good, but not good enough: The AI computer has recognised aspects of conversation and physical synchrony at a 75% success rate over a 4-couple trial. So you might meet your soulmate, or never 🥹 

Okay maybe just friends… Single Pringle? The wearable tech has also been tested in workplaces to match the best employees to make the best teams.

One step at a time to help cure cancer 👩‍⚕️ 

One of the biggest problems breast cancer treatment currently faces is providing accurate diagnosis and prioritising patient health. 🫂 

Hopeful progress 🤞 : Through AI pattern recognition of thousands of breast cancer scans, surgeons and doctors around the world will have a better idea of whether patients will benefit from operation before chemotherapy. 📈 

The bigger implication… all this research contributes to the idea of whether chemotherapy is worth the risk in creating a beneficial outcome for patients. 🔍️
