🦆 'Big 4' Accounting Firms take on AI

AND: Learn how to ace your job interviews with AI

Hey man,

The school holidays have arrived, time to go on a holiday to the pond on the other side of the park.

Here’s the AI rundown for today:

  • Microsoft changes the way we work with AI 🛩️

  • Accounting ‘Big 4’ company creates their own AI model and platform 🤖

  • Learn how to do job interviews better with AI 📚️

  • Duck Duck Goose 😂

“Co-piloting”, the new way to work 🧑‍✈️

Out with the old, in with the new. Quack! 🦆

Microsoft’s new “Copilot” large language model works just like all popular AI tools with a slight twist.

It’s designed to help workers get stuff done faster and easier. ✅

As the name implies, Copilot works alongside you.

It helps simplify the process so that inputs by the user are automatically prompted to complete underlying tasks such as:

  • Booking meeting times with integrated platforms 💻️

  • Requesting summaries of zoom calls 📲

  • Creating PowerPoint presentations 🖥️

More with less: Staff are now able to skip the long-winding prompting process and setting up desired results.

All they need to enter is the information they want AI to operate on. The rest is done for them!

Australian companies such as Suncorp, AGL, and NAB have been slowly adopting these systems. Should we try it too? 🦆

ChatGPT Guide: Build your job interview skills ⚙️

Ever wanted someone to practice your interview skills with? Look no further!

I’ve got ya covered :)

You can easily simulate a job interview using ChatGPT, where you you will be prompted with work scenarios, challenging questions, and even interview etiquette.

Then, you will receive feedback at the very end that will excel your interview skills.

Copy paste this ‘Expert Prompt’ (Telling the AI what role to play):

I want you to play the role of a job interviewer for a ____ (position applying) in ____ (industry or specific company name).

Simulate a job interview with me where you ask questions then I write a response back to you in the chat box. Ask me a question then wait for a response. Include all parts of an interview, from greetings, scenarios, creative questions, and a farewell.

I type in responses to the questions. Don't write them for me. The questions you ask me are to be suited to the industry and position I am applying for. They should also depend on the way in which I respond to prior questions. Adjust as required.

At the end of my interview (you dictate when), provide feedback on my interview. It should be structured into 3 main sections:
- What went well
- What needs improvement (and how to fix it, in dot points)
- An overall rating and likelihood of employment.

Start instantly in your upcoming response.

Me, Quack

The simulation should start instantly!

Your feedback should something like this:

(In our example, we applied to be a Manager at Boost Juice)

EY looks to the future with AI 🤝

A quack-tastic 1.4 billion dollar investment!

  • Developed over the past 18 months EY.ai used their business experience and technological skills to build their own paltform

  • EY.ai EYQ, a large language model, has been rolled out alongside upskilling AI learning and development for EY people.

Working with companies such as DELL, Microsoft, and IBM. EY has been hard at work utilising models such as GPT-3 and GPT-4 to build generative AI solutions helping thousands of workers. 🧑‍🏭
