🦆 Drake and AI, Episode II: Copyright Boogaloo

PLUS: The ONE AI tool to beat procrastination

Hey man,

Autocorrect always prioritises ‘Duck’ over your explicit word choice. >:)

Here’s the AI rundown for today:

  • Samsung tells employees not to use ChatGPT 🙅

  • The Drake AI clone even Drake can’t stop 🎤

  • Meta tries to work with OpenAI on a tool for Engineers ♾️

  • The only AI tool you need to reclaim your time, Motion 🤖

Samsung cites privacy concerns with ChatGPT 📱

And they (privacy concerns) don’t stop comin’ and they don’t stop comin’

You shall not pass! Samsung bans the use of ChatGPT on company devices in fear of leaking private and confidential data. 🔓️

This temporary ban comes in place as the tech giant seeks to create a ‘safe environment’ for generative AI tools in the workplace. 🧑‍💻

If companies directly use ChatGPT’s API to use the bot, data is not used to train the model or be sent to OpenAI’s support team. 🤖

However, for some Samsung staff who use the regular web interface, the risk of leaking company data becomes too high a risk. 📈

Just as we preach here at The Daily Quack, safety in AI is #1 🦆

“Done talk now, ‘cause there’s other stuff that’s concernin’ me” - Drake 🤔

Yes Drake, AI is concerning you. 😺

While major record labels try to chase down AI generated replicas of their artists, the legal aspect is not as simple as it may appear. 🧑‍⚖️

You thought I was feelin’ you? With the rise of AI covers on Tiktok, including Drake covering Ice Spice songs, big questions loom around copyright infringement.

Spoti-die: While music labels have been able to pull AI songs down from streaming platforms, they still haven’t figured how to truly stop ‘AI artists’.

Because legally, there’s no precedent as to whether Drake can actually stop robot Drake on the basis of copyright. AI showin’ Fake Love to him.

Record labels are trying to contest copyright on the basis that AI tools are training their models by using their artists’ songs.

We’ll keep this story updated. 🦆

Meta and OpenAI crossover event? ♾️

The goal is to create an AI coding assistant for Engineers. 🤝

Big boy collaboration: Meta has reached out to OpenAI requesting help on building a coding-specific AI assistant for engineers, the only middle ground in which both companies are open to working with one another.

Crazy Rich Businesses: The cost is ‘crazy’ however, with each query (think of one prompt in ChatGPT) costing 7 cents. Wallet’s ain’t empty 🤑

Always have a Plan B: If plans fall through, Meta is still on track to create their own assistant. It’s built on their own infrastructure and private data to help internal engineers.

We wonder if this AI assistant will become open source to the public 🤔

The notion of the motion: Create tasks you need to get done in just 10 seconds and have it smartly added you to your calendar.

To-do lists are dead: Know exactly how long you need to get tasks done and which time of day to do it. It’s the to-do list but 100x better.

Time to do what you love: With Motion, you can save up to 10 hours per week. In one year, you could save an entire months of time.

Motion AI helps you retroactively plan so you can combat procrastination, get deep work done and balance a heathy study/social life.
