Reliance Industries’ - one of India’s largest conglomerates - Jio Platforms has joined forces with GPU giant Nvidia to collaborate on the development of a large language model trained on India's diverse languages. 🤝

In addition to language model development, the two companies will collaborate to create an AI infrastructure that aims to be significantly more powerful than India's fastest supercomputer (although no specific timeline has been provided).

Reliance plans to make this cloud infrastructure accessible for researchers, developers, startups, scientists, and AI experts across India. 👨‍🔬

In align with their respective expertise - Nvidia will provide the advanced AI supercomputer solutions while Jio manages the AI cloud infrastructure, customer interactions and access. 🙌

Roblox introduces an AI assistant 🌝

Roblox introduced their new conversationalist AI assistant at the 2023 Roblox Developers Conference (RDC) ☄️. With the system, Roblox users can ease the development of ‘experiences’ which are publicly created mini-games within the game.

Some cool AI features will include: 💁‍♀️

• Coding assistance

• Prompt generated virtual environments

• The input of specific requests like items and accessories

• Generative asset creation from Roblox’ visual asset library

Roblox CTO, Daniel Sturman, described how the tool might be able to create basic gameplay behaviours like teleporting you to a place if you touch a door.

For instance, by typing "I want to make a game set in ancient ruins," Roblox will insert stones, moss-covered columns, and broken architecture. 🌿

This tool is preparing for an end-of-year launch, and even teased the potential to generate 3D Roblox models from scratch. Watch a demo here.
