🦆 Minecraft: AI Edition

PLUS: The ONE AI study tool you must use

Hey man,

What kind of eggs do evil ducks lay? Devilled eggs.

Here’s the AI rundown for today:

  • Snapchat AI is kinda crazy 👻 😳

  • All-in-one STEM tool for students ➕✖️

  • GPT-5 is not being trained currently ❌ 🤖

  • AI learns to play Minecraft by watching YouTube ⛏️ 📺️

“My AI” for Snapchat 👻

ChatGPT is now built into social media.

A new AI friend: ‘My AI’ is Snapchat’s ChatGPT powered chatbot that takes on a more personable persona, making way for many experimental features in the cross over space between AI and social media. You can even customise the Bitmoji! 🫂

Keepin’ it casual: The AI tool responds in a casual tone that is almost human-like, essentially living its own life with food recommendations, music suggestions and sometimes, just asking how your day has been. 🎷

But, there’s a catch! There are limitations to My AI similar to ChatGPT, such as not having live access to the internet for fresh news updates and data. Some users have even labelled it an inconvenience within the app. 🌐

Watch our for this space, let’s see what products AI and social media can produce! 🦆

‘STEaM’ ahead with AI 🥇

For the students enduring through the long hours of crunching numbers, sketching graphs, solving equations, coding, preparing for Med… The list goes on. ➕ ✖️

FLASHCARDS DON’T WORK: Until you use them properly. The days of staring at Anki for hours are over. Spaced repetition is important, but only if you’re smart about it and choose your cards perfectly. 🃏

So why not have AI do it for you? 🤔

Literally anything bro: While marketed mainly for STEM students, flashcards are prepped for any subject you can think of. Just type into the prompt box what you want flashcards for (similar to ChatGPT) and away it goes! 🤖

Flashcards take new forms: These aren’t just your typical question-answer flashcards. Mixed with multiple choice questions and written responses, there is a science-backed algorithm that mixes spaced repetition with interleaving. 💳️

It’s everything study technique nerds love to see. 🤓

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE: Turn those flashcards into tests created straight inside the Studyable website, those questions you kept getting wrong? They’ll reappear. Even the ones you think you’re confident in, AI will push you to your limits.

AND THEN THE ADVANCED AI EVEN MARKS YOUR WORK AND GIVES YOU FEEDBACK???????? This thing is too good to be true. 😅

GPT - 5 halted 🖥️

Some breathing room for AI users. 😮‍💨

Building a solid foundation first: Sam Altman, founder of OpenAI recently spoke on a remote panel for MIT stating that the OpenAI team are not working on building GPT-5 but rather, providing constant updates for the newly-released GPT-4. 🛶

A political line for AI: Altman was questioned by panelists about whether the reason for not developing GPT-5 was due to the Elon Musk’s open letter to halt AI progression beyond the capabilities of GPT-4. 📜

Altman responded, saying this s not the case. And that even if so, the open letter lacked technical clarity as to where AI progression should stop. 🔎

So what about GPT-4, Quack? Just to put into perspective how good GPT-4 already is, recent tests showed that GPT-3 scored in the bottom 10% for a simulated law bar exam, whilst GPT-4 scored in the top 10%. And it’ll just keep evolving from here on out, GPT-4 is here to stay. 📈 ✅

Minecraft: AI Edition ⛏️ 🧟

This one brings out the inner Bed Wars god within me.

Watch and learn: An AI tool developed by OpenAI has learnt to watch Minecraft videos from YouTube and re-perform those actions in game. Performing basic tasks such as cutting down trees and walking around. 📺️

Journey to the Ender Dragon: Just like we did when we were younger, the AI developers hope to train the system to complete the entire game in the shortest time possible. Learning to optimally find diamonds or pockets of resources to finish the game faster. 🐉

But how does it actually work? Specific videos have been created with corresponding key presses and mouse movements to train a model for the AI system. Which then correlates the movement and key binds to plan how to traverse surroundings in-game. 🏃‍♂️💨

This is known as Behavioural Cloning, and OpenAI hope that the bot can soon learn from any video on the internet. 🤖

I’m still the superior player at this time… Quack 🦆

FAN ART MAKES A RETURN HOLYYY 🎨
