The company behind ChatGPT… OpenAI has made moves to acquire Global Illumination - a New York based startup that gained its fame building AI tools, experiences and digital infrastructure. 🏙

Launched by Thomas D, Taylor G and Joey F in 2021, the team began its journey designing products at large companies like YouTube, Pixar and Riot Games. The company is now backed by billions (this could be QuackedAI one day 🐥) in venture capital from Microsoft and other institutes - with many grants to raise even more funding. 🤑

Into Minecraft? ❇️

They’re most recent creation is actually Biomes, a Minecraft-like multiplayer game built for the web. It’s presumed that this project is something OpenAI will assist in further development. ⚒

Researchers at the University of California have used AI to decode brain wave signals, in an effort to determine if these can be translated to capture musical elements.

The results? SUCCESS ✅

The team managed to record brain activity from patients undergoing epilepsy surgery whilst Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick in the Wall Pt 1’ played in the patient’s ears.

Although the reconstructed song may sound muddy, the rhythm is still recognisable and the lyrics decipherable. This is the first time scientist have managed to accomplish such a feat. 🏆

An analysis of song elements revealed a new region in the brain responsible for rhythm (in this case, the guitar rhythm). This new technology may pave the way for prosthetics that can help remove the robotic, rigid way that speech-generating devices operate. 🙌

No, this is not clickbait.

Most of 52 year-old Gina Stewart’s followers on OnlyFans don’t seem to realise that they’re paying a subscription for AI generated images of her face, on a fake body. ☝️

The self proclaimed ‘glam granny’ has admitted to utilising AI in doing all the work for her, whilst she maintains a six-figure profit. Talk about hustling!

However, some 'fans’ noticed that her images seemed a little too smooth and pointed it out in the forum’s comment section.

They were met with a heart emoji ❤️ - which is ALSO an AI automated response Gina set up as a reply to every comment.

Furthermore, Gina’s AI model (not her human self) has signed a contract with a major modelling agency in Germany - making her the first person to ever do so.

AI models are rapidly growing in popularity, and if their real life counterparts are making six figures from it? Who are we to judge 🤷‍♀️
