🦆 Stay focused while studying with ChatGPT

BREAKING: Google starts their own AI search engine

Hey man,

It’s always “where is AI?” not “how is AI” 😢

Here’s the AI rundown for today:

  • How to stay motivated and focused with AI 📝

  • ‘Knowji’, the AI language learning tool 🈷️

  • Google joins the AI search engine race 🏎️

  • NEW AI plagiarism detector 🔎

I break it down’ , I break it down’ 📚️

Motivation and discipline unmatched, peak academic performance 🤓

A big reason students lose motivation to study or get things done is quite simply because they don’t know WHAT work they’re doing within a timeframe.

If we can set the goals to get work done, we are capable of ANYTHING.

But it’s easier said than done.

Setting SMART goals (Specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time based) can be quite difficult, especially for beginners.

So why not tell ChatGPT our bigger goals and allow it to break things down into smaller tasks for us? Cheat unlocked! 🕹️

I want you to play the role of a goal setting/study expert. Your task is to analyse and evaluate my broader academic goals and break them down into a list of SMART goals that I can complete when studying. Make these goals extremely manageable, have at least 5 SMART goals for each big goal.

Me, Quack

Then, just input your big goals! ChatGPT will answer back with a list of SMART goals for you to put in your calendar or notes. No more feeling lost!

Presenting, Knowji 🈷️ 📚️

Language learning made easy with AI, quack 🦆

Where AI meets interactive learning: Knowji uses AI-enhanced spaced repetition with flashcards, audio, and visual responses to make sure you never forget a word you’re learning. 🧠

A hand to hold: The AI algorithm processes words you repeatedly get wrong and increases the rate at you which you practice it. It also predicts when you’re about to forget a word and ensures you drill it over a few more times. 🤔

Who doesn’t love games? Knowji takes on a game-like approach so you never feel bored while learning a new language. The ultimate package. 🎮️

I’ve been practicing my Greek around the pond. 🦆

Bing? Google? Which one????? 👨‍💻

Google races to start developing their own search engine with built-in AI.

Designed just for you: Google’s new AI engine, Magi, hopes to offer a “far more personalised experience for users in comparison to their competitors. 🫵

What features are offered, Quack? 🦆

  • Chatbot conversations and code snippets like ChatGPT 🤖

  • A unique music search tool, find music through conversation! 🎵

  • Webpage scanning that offers further textual insight 🔎

i.e. scan an Airbnb webpage and get further suggestions

  • Image generation 🖼️

Many of these tools are already accessible through many of Google’s services such as Sheets and Duolingo, but a fully integrated package of all their AI offerings in a single search engine could blow the AI market away. 🔥

Ya’ can’t ChatGPT everything man ❌

Universities crackdown on plagiarism of AI content with new tools.

Split decision: Aussie universities are currently torn on using new AI-plagiarism-checker tool, Turnitin. Which has a 98% accuracy when checking for AI plagiarism in student submitted work. 🪓

Trying to adapt in an evolving landscape: Universities such as Deakin University are unsure of using Turnitin as they fear standardised adoption of AI tools too early could prevent them from using advanced tools in the near future. 🌆

Students voice their opinions: AI has the potential to empower a generation of young students and learners, but with the crackdown on AI use, students have been requesting for more clarity and education around fair AI use. 📣

What we think: Here at The Daily Quack, we believe that AI tools are highly beneficial for students when used for high order thinking and inquiry based learning. The curriculum will eventually have to adapt to AI use! 📈

Here’s a quote we really like:

“It’s not going to be adequate to protect universities,” he said. “There are more constructive ways to embrace the tools because it’s going to be an arms race, and AI is going to be integrated into everything we use.”
