🦆 Street Fighter, Pigeon edition

AND: Game your way to a new job

Hey man,

Peking Duck, Roast Duck, Honey-glazed Duck breast… Not on bro… That was my cousin you ate the other day.

Here’s the AI rundown for today… quack:

  • Mini crash course on language learning using AI 📚️ (natural language learning), (duck in 4 different languages)

  • Employers use VR gaming to interview candidates 🎮️

  • Mind control with AI robots? 🧠

  • Pigeon VS AI 🐦️ 🤖 (Duck’s are better)

鸭子, 오리, アヒル, Duck 🦆

Duck in four different languages. 🍀

Here’s how you can quick start your language learning with AI, Quack style:

  • Use ChatGPT to simulate a conversation with a “language speaker” on any level. A great balance of inputs and outputs when learning languages. Use this prompt below 👇️

“I want you to act as a language partner and ask me questions in [target language] about [topic].”

learnprompt.org

Then, stop at any point to ask ChatGPT for corrections, advice or to change topics. 🔄

Wanna assess yourself? Use this nifty sentence 👇️

”Generate a [target language] vocabulary quiz. At a [difficulty] level, around [topic].

Me, Quack
  • Or, use Duolingo’s new AI subscription service we’ll dive into this tomorrow hehe 🐥

Since ChatGPT is a natural language platform, it is the best resource to learn languages through. A list of prompts can be found here.

The better the GAMER the better the WORKER 🕹️

Apparently superior aim converts to superior Excel spreadsheet skills…

Ooo smells nice: The University of Cologne recently conducted a study that involved HR managers using VR gaming as a way to predict the performance of a work candidate. With gaming performance indicated intellectual and cognitive capabilities. 😋

My Candy Crush era better finally pay off 🍭

Duck’s don’t have hands man… participants were tasked with playing Job Simulator’ in various scenarios, working as cashiers, chefs and baristas. I’m at a severe disadvantage here 🥹

Ranked gameplay: There are also so-called “serious games” in the trial with extremely specific tasks that if done well, result in high consideration for one’s hiring chances. 🤓

What we think: It’s a pretty innovative way to integrate a fun use of AI into the recruitment process and will entice more applicants for more jobs, especially younger audiences. 🕶️

Telepathic control with the AI homies? 🧠

The call me Professor X…

Mind control in a good way? Researchers at the University of Sydney have made significant process with brain-computer interfaces (the cool helmet looking thing) that has aided in:

  • Aerospace fields

  • Advanced manufacturing

  • Healthcare, where the BCI has been able to help disabled patients use prosthetics much easier.

How’s it progressing? At extreme speeds, tests were conducted on a robotic dog with intense commands at a 94% success right. That’s right, your dog can’t run from bath time anymore. 🐕️

Looking goooood: With rapid growth, the University of Sydney team are constantly refining the interface and are currently working on reducing interference between technology and the human brain allowing for more concise operations. 📈

Quack approved 🦆

 🐦️ 🆚 🤖 … FIGHT!

Can we prove that Pigeon’s are government drones? ⚡️

They’re much the same? Turns out Pigeons learn much the same way that AI does with a “brute force” approach when given a series of inputs. When tasked with logical reasoning and high level thinking, they would only use trial and error methods to “brute force” correct answers.

At an impressive 70% success rate, my Duck nephew could do better though.

Competitive edge: Although Pigeons and AI are comparable in the way they control inputs, that little Pigeon brain stands no chance against the colossal storage and memory power of AI systems. Boohoo 😢

A challenger has arrived! Pigeon’s and AI may be all the rave, but Dolphins and Chimpanzee’s remain the most intelligent animals due to their declarative learning methods.

But the human-aid in evolving AI means tech reigns supreme due to it’s ability to store so much information.

Perhaps cheating ain’t so bad after all, consider it a head start 😅

Back at it again with the fan art 🎨

Sneak peek into our new logo design? 🙀

Today’s submission is from James Le, 2nd Year Physiotherapy student from LaTrobe University.

A modern take on a traditional masterpiece. 😍
